Donors can now cover your processing fees when making their contributions
Hi Eric,
If you work at a non-profit organization and are collecting donations, the Payment Link and QR code in your Your Financial Institution account is a quick, convenient way to let your donors contribute.
"This is great, but what about the processing fees we're assessed? Every penny we collect can make a difference."
Does that sound familiar? If so, this update is for you.
Select the Payment Link Settings tab, and then click Edit Information
Change the selection in the Payment type dropdown to Donation or Contribution
Click Preview Changes to see the updates, then Save Settings
Step 2: Share your Payment Link or QR code to collect donations
Now that your Payment Link is setup to collect donations or contributions, you simply need to share it with your donors! Whether you text the link or send it in a newsletter for your donors to click, or ask them to scan your QR code from their mobile device, they will see the newly refreshed payment form to contribute to your non-profit.
If your donor was contributing $100, you would ask them to check the box to Add $3.49 to cover my processing fees prior to submitting their donation.
Note, the amount displayed next to that checkbox will automatically calculate the amount necessary to cover the processing fees based on the contribution amount, though it will not be checked by default.
Ready to collect donations?
Get started today by logging into your Your Financial Institution account and following the Payment Link prompts on your dashboard to access your Payment Link or QR code.
