How to Track the Payments You’ve Received in Autobooks

Running a business means keeping track of every dollar that comes in. With Autobooks, you can easily see your payment activity, no matter how you get paid.

Autobooks gives you several ways to see the payments you’ve received, depending on how your customers paid you. Whether you send Invoices, share your Payment Link, sell items online with Checkout Pages, or accept payments in person with Tap to Pay on iPhone, you can quickly check your payment activity and confirm that everything is processing smoothly.

Here’s a quick guide to where you can find that information — and why one report in particular, your Settlement Details report, is worth checking regularly.

View payments from Invoices

If you send invoices through Autobooks, you can find all related payments in the Payments tab within the Invoicing area of your account.

This view gives you a simple list of every payment you’ve received — along with key details like the payer’s name, the payment method used (card or bank transfer), the date it was submitted, and the total amount paid.

You can also filter by date or keyword, or export your payments as a spreadsheet to share with your bookkeeper. As an important note, refunded or canceled payments will appear grayed out.

View payments from your Payment Link

If you accept payments or donations using your Payment Link, those payments will appear under the Payments tab in the Payment Link area of the app.

You’ll see a similar set of details: who paid you, the payment type, when it was made, and how much was collected. This list updates automatically as customers pay you — so you can quickly check your recent payment activity without digging through multiple screens.

Filtering and exporting options make it easy to organize your records or gain quick access to a spreadsheet if needed.

View Checkout Page sales

If you sell specific items or services using Checkout Pages, you’ll find your sales listed in the Checkout Pages section of the app, under the Sales tab.

Each entry shows the name of the payer, which Checkout Page the payment came from, and the total amount collected. It’s a great way to see at a glance how a particular product or event is performing.

For example, if you set up one Checkout Page to sell tickets and another for merchandise, you can easily compare activity between the two. You can even download a report to view all of your Checkout Page sales together — perfect for weekly reviews or end-of-month reconciliations.

View Tap to Pay on iPhone transactions

If you take in-person payments using Tap to Pay on iPhone, you can find those transactions inside your mobile banking app by accessing Autobooks, tapping on Tap to Pay on iPhone, and clicking the list icon in the top right corner.

Tapping a payment shows the full details — including the payment method, total amount, and an option to send a receipt or issue a refund.

This is especially useful if you’re out in the field or at a pop-up event and need to double-check that a transaction went through successfully.

The power of the Settlement Details report

While each payment view gives you insight into specific transactions, the Settlement Details report ties it all together.

Every deposit you see in your bank account from Autobooks may include multiple customer payments — and possibly a few refunds or adjustments. The Settlement Details report helps you understand exactly what made up that deposit:

  • Each transaction included in the deposit
  • The payer’s name and payment method
  • The payment date
  • The total payment amount
  • Refunds or adjustments that affected the final total

By checking this report, you can confidently reconcile your records and verify that every dollar received matches what was deposited into your account. It’s especially helpful when preparing your books, confirming customer payments, or answering accounting questions at tax time.

Take control of your cash flow with clear payment insights:

Whether you’re viewing payments from invoices, your Payment Link, Checkout Pages, or Tap to Pay on iPhone, Autobooks gives you clear visibility into your payment activity — and the Settlement Details report brings it all together.
